Our friends at Social Whale created an extension which you can use to shorten urls and upload images with one click. Check it out here or here.
We also have a very simple Application Programming Interface to use with your twitter apps. To use the API just use the
following request pattern:
http://twt.gs/?url=LONG_URL&user=TWITTER_USERNAME&pass=TWITTER_PASSWORD&prefuri=CUSTOM_ALIAS
replace the above capital words with your actual data. The last one (prefuri) is optional. If everything goes fine you will
receive a header 200 OK and the short url. Otherwise a 400 header is returned along with an error description.
